About the Commentaries

The Torah is the compilation of the first five books of the Hebrew Bible, namely the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. The Torah is known as the Pentateuch or the Five Books of Moses given by God. Jewish people in synagogues around the world read the same portion of scripture each Shabbat called a ‘parashah’ followed by a corresponding reading (called a haftorah). As Believers in Messiah Yeshua, we also include portions from the New Testament (Brit Chadashah) and discover a beautiful harmony between the Old and New Covenants.
